Umbrella Insurance is simply defined as overlapping Liability Coverage. It protects the Insured against claims above and beyond the amounts covered by Primary Insurance. Moreover, Umbrella Insurance also provides the Insured peace of mind against claims arising from slander or defamation. Coverage is worldwide and usually offered in $1,000,000 increments.
